Delete My Data

We respect your right to control your personal data. You can request the complete deletion of your PokiPaw account and all associated data at any time using any of the methods described below.
Option 1: Delete from Within the App
The fastest way to delete your account and data:
- Open PokiPaw on your device.
- Go to Settings (via the navigation drawer or gear icon).
- Scroll down to the Account section.
- Tap "Delete Account".
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Your account and all data will be permanently deleted immediately.
Option 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access the App, send an email to:
Include the following in your email:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- The email address associated with your PokiPaw account.
- Your display name (if applicable).
We will process your request within 7 business days and send you a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Account information: Email, display name, profile photo, authentication credentials.
- Pet profiles: All pet data including names, breeds, birth dates, weight history, and photos.
- Health records: Medical records, vaccination history, treatment logs, and health analytics.
- Journal entries: All tracking entries (walks, meals, water, sleep, mood, grooming, weight, etc.).
- Expenses: All expense records and financial data.
- Care routines: Scheduled care events, reminders, and routine configurations.
- Training data: Training sessions, command progress, and training analytics.
- Documents: All uploaded pet documents, certificates, and files.
- Photos: All pet photos stored in cloud storage.
- Family data: Family group membership and sharing configurations.
- Community posts: Lost pet reports and adoption listings you created.
- Notification settings: All reminder and notification preferences.
- Achievements: Badge progress and milestone data.
What Happens to Shared Data
If you are the owner of a family group:
- Your pets that are shared with family members will be removed from all members' accounts.
- Family members will retain their own accounts but lose access to your shared pets.
If you are a member of a family group (not the owner):
- You will be removed from the family group.
- Pets owned by other family members will remain unaffected.
Subscription Cancellation
Deleting your PokiPaw account does not automatically cancel your Premium subscription. To avoid further charges, you must cancel your subscription separately through:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → PokiPaw → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → PokiPaw → Cancel.
Data Retention After Deletion
Once your account is deleted:
- All personal data and pet records are permanently deleted within 30 days.
- Backups containing your data are purged within the standard backup rotation cycle (up to 30 days).
- Anonymized, aggregated analytics data (which cannot identify you) may be retained for product improvement.
Irreversibility
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. We recommend exporting any important health records (via the PDF export feature) before deleting your account.
